形態特徵

• Perennial herbs; stems ascending, glabrous.
• Leaves membranaceous, sparsely to slightly hirsute above, sparsely hirsute along veins beneath, asymmetrically obovate, ovate to obovate-lanceolate, 1.5-6.0 cm long, 0.8-2 cm wide, basiscopic half rounded to semi cordate, margins minute ciliolate, obtusely serrate, apex obtusely acute to acutely acuminate; stipules 2, 1-nerved, lanceolate, 1-2 mm long.
• Male inflorescences with bracts connate into a narrowly oblong involucre; peduncles to 4 cm long. Female inflorescences sessile or subsessile; bracts slightly puberulent, connate into a narrowly oblong involucre; peduncles to 1.7 cm long in fruit. Male flowers hirtellous outside, widely obovate; sepals 5, hirtellous beneath, ovate-cymbiform; pedicels to 1.5 mm long. Female flowers short pedicellate; sepals 3 or 4, minute, linear-acicular; staminodes 3 or 4; ovary ovoid.
• Achenes inconspicuously 5- or 6-ribbed at apex, ovoid.

• 台灣 : medium altitudes throughout the island, mostly in ravines or on moist floors of ravines.
